I got a rescue pit bull less than a month ago, and was recommended to read one of the books. I will go on to read their others. They describe the concepts behind what dogs need and how to be a good pack leader for your dog. These concepts have immediately been helpful to us and I have already reviewed sections again throughout the day when applicable.Their guidance has been helpful in many ways. One example is in teaching my dog how to relax by herself and not need constant human attention. I was allowing her on the couch whenever she wanted, where she would bark or paw for my attention. I started teaching her to not get on the couch unless invited, and although the puppy dog looks kill at first(!), she seems more content and calm. She will instead lay at my feet and rest. This is just one example from me, and it may be imperfect, but I wanted to share to explain that this book has helped immediately!Thank you to the writers!
